The Bienville House, at 320 Decatur Street, started as a grain warehouse, and then was transformed into a hotel in 1835. Built on the site of a former plantation home, Le Pavillon began as a hotel in 1905, and its history includes an underground tunnel on the property, possibly used during Prohibition. The white 10-story building displays exterior columns and two enormous statues at the entrance.
